Milwaukee Ave Church of Christ had outgrown their building. They had land to build on but would need to sell their current building before they could begin construction. The plans for the new building were started so Karen and Alison were hired to price the building so that it would sell in a reasonable amount of time. The church had tried to sell the building three years earlies with the property priced too high with no offers. Milwaukee Church of Christ wanted to sell their building and not repeat the past experience.
Karen and Alison researched what other church properties had sold for. The facts were presented to the Milwaukee Church of Christ and a price was established. Since the church was still occupying the property, showing instructions were established. The congregation was on board with the sale and a sign was placed on the property. A marketing plan was implemented by Karen and Alison to target buyers.
Very quickly, two offers were made on the property. The church that had the strongest financial ability was the offer that was chosen. Terms were agreed upon by Milwaukee Church of Christ which included timing to move out prior to the sale. Within 3 months of listing the property, the ownership transferred to the new church. Milwaukee Church of Christ finalized their plans for temporary occupancy until their new building could be built. The sale process was smooth with no complications. Both churches were happy and excited about the progress of growing.
